Your Role
In our Community Centres we encourage all children to develeop their personal skills. We offer dancing, music and arts classes where the children can lern a new skill. Reaching out to hundreds of underprivileged children, we cannot offer the children more than one class a week. With your help the children could improve their skillset and receive new inputs towards developing their personal interests.
What will you be doing?
In our Community Centres we have activities with children every day. Together with our Social Workers you can figure out where we can use your experience most effectively. You can either focus on single Centres or try to meet the children of all our Community Centres. Our Centres provide small spaces where we do the activities with the children. If you need any special equipment to work with the children get in touch and find out what we can provide you with.
Working & Living with us
SERVE wants all volunteers to have a pleasant experience during their service to the local communities. We will provide you with airport transportation, simple accomodation and local food. One of our staff members will pick you up from the airport and take you to our volunteer accomodation located in the south of Colombo. We employ women from the local community to prepare delicious Sri Lankan food during your stay.
